Mechanical Designer

Privately owned Multifeeder Technology is the world leader in design and manufacture of friction feeders and accessories, using the latest design techniques with state-of-the- art materials to provide solutions for our customers. Due to robust company growth, we are looking for an outgoing Mechanical Designer to join our team that also possesses our company core values which include integrity, engaged, innovative, team player and customer-collaborative.

As a member of the product development and custom automation team, the Mechanical Designer will work with other staff members to reach project goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand product requirements and develop solutions
  • Use theoretical calculations and analytical methods to develop and support mechanical concepts
  • Knowledge of ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards
  • Review or create part drawings, solid models and bills of materials
  • Understand manufacturing processes so that designs are within process capabilities.
  • Interface with other engineering personnel and provide technical input during meetings/discussions.
  • Create custom and standard automation solutions
  • Provide technical problem solving
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline Minimum of 10 years’ of experience in Mechanical Design, or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 year minimum experience in custom automation and material handling equipment in food and pharmaceutical industries
  • Proficiency in automation and material handling product and custom automation design.
  • Minimum of 5 years solid modeling and drafting experience, preferably using SolidWorks and/or Pro-E / Creo 2
  • Strong knowledge of PDM, and/or Windchill
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
  • Ability to excel in highly interactive fast moving team environment
  • Commitment to learning and continuous improvement
  • A high level of initiative and self confidence
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and general use of PC applications

Electronics Technician

Multifeeder Technology manufactures friction feeding equipment and systems for the packaging and print industries.
We currently have an opening for an Electronics Technician.

Job Description:

  • Building and wiring control panels
  • Testing and troubleshooting circuit boards
  • Wiring finished machines and integrated systems
  • Configuring sensors, barcode readers, pneumatics, and other third-party devices

Education:

  • 2-year Associates degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in Electronics or Automation Technology is required.

Qualifications:

  • 0-5 years experience in an electronics or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Experience wiring industrial control panels
  • Familiarity with multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to perform basic soldering and cable assembly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform schematic capture
  • Experience with component-level troubleshooting
  • Technical writing ability
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors, electric motors, basic pneumatics

Required Skills:

  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to clearly communicate with other departments
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Good time management
  • Ability to multi-task between projects
  • General math and algebra ability

Electronics Technician Intern

We currently have an opening for a full or part-time Electronics Technician Intern.

Job Description:

  • Building and wiring control panels
  • Testing and troubleshooting circuit boards
  • Wiring finished machines and integrated systems
  • Configuring sensors, barcode readers, pneumatics, and other third-party devices

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited institution in pursuit of a 2-year Associates degree or technical certificate in Electronics or Automation Technology

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience necessary
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Experience wiring industrial control panels
  • Familiarity with multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to perform basic soldering and cable assembly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform schematic capture
  • Experience with component-level troubleshooting
  • Technical writing ability
